UnifiedFX reminds customers that Cisco 69xx and 79xx phones will be deprecated and offers a Migration Path.

In these turbulent times it is often easy to overlook some of the more mundane technology tasks and changes that we are faced with.

Cisco’s announcement of February 22, 2019 that many of the 69XX and 79XX phone models will not be supported in CUCM 14.0 has put many customers in the position of having to plan for a phone migration project.

However for simplicity the phone models deprecated from CUCM 11.5(x) to CUCM 14 are listed below.

 

Phone Models Deprecated in CUCM Release 14

3911, 3951, 6911, 6921, 6941, 6945, 6961, 7906G, 7911G, 7925, 7925-G-EX, 7926, 7931, 7936, 7937G, 7940, 7941, 7960, 7961, 7985, 8941,

The following phone models were first deprecated in Release 12.0(x). That deprecation status carries over to Release 14:

7921, 7970, 7971

The following phone models were first deprecated in Release 11.5(x). That deprecation status carries over to Release 14:

12 S, 12 SP, 12 SP+, 30 SP+, 30 VIP, 7902G, 7905G, 7910, 7910G, 7910+SW, 7910G+SW, 7912G, 7920, 7935

 

UnifiedFX with it’s MigrationFX product, today announces a Migration path from the deprecated Cisco phone models to the newer phone models that will remove complexity, time and cost for all customers faced with a phone migration project.

In addition to a migration path to the newer phone models UnifiedFX will offer a migration path to alternative Softphones including Cisco Jabber.

MigrationFX is the only Endpoint Migration software to have Cisco Compatible Certification.

MigrationFX is a certified Cisco Compatible product that has completed full Interoperability Verification Testing (IVT) as such you can be confident of it’s performance and applicability with your Cisco CUCM software. This is important should you have any CUCM issues in the future as Cisco TAC will support both CUCM (Cisco Call Manager) and MigrationFX as a certified compatible product.
